Amanda is had great control with the instruments and was very thorough with the cleaning. I would recommend using her again.Drake Dental, seems to be under staffed because the next available apt is one year away. Topical cleaning schedule is every six months.

Going to the Dentist is not my favorite, but I go. Ideally, I want my teeth to be cleaned by a hygienist and feel like my teeth are new again. Yesterday my dental hygienist, Amanda, was thorough and I felt like my teeth were clean when I left. This morning, I got up and realized that some yellowing, that I had noticed so long I thought it would never be gone (I do have my appointments 2 x per year) was actually gone! Amanda had the patience and gentleness to rid my teeth of tartar that had developed when I was ill for an eight month span two years ago. Amanda, thank you for your diligence and professionalism. I recommend Drake Dental when people ask me and now Amanda is my hygienist!

I just had a cleaning at Drake Dental - Portage, and I need to specifically recommend my hygienist, Amanda.For me, dental cleanings are usually very challenging because I have extreme sensitivity that makes the whole process uncomfortable. Amanda was a total standout.She was highly professional and polite, but what really made the difference was how incredibly gentle and careful she was. She worked slowly and meticulously, constantly checking in to make absolutely sure I was comfortable and okay throughout the entire appointment. Her attention and careful technique made a typically stressful experience genuinely manageable.If you struggle with dental sensitivity or just appreciate a hygienist who prioritizes patient comfort, you should definitely book with Amanda. She's a fantastic, compassionate professional.

Nicole is an angel on Earth!!!My son had a loose tooth and was in incredible pain for the last three days. Keep in mind, we’re about to be 11 and have lost many teeth without incident. It was so bad that last night when we took him out to dinner (to his favorite place) to celebrate his good grades, he was in tears trying to eat his steak. He even asked if I could call the doctor. He hates going to the dentist, so you know it had to hurt.First thing this morning, I called his dentist office and told them what was going on and asked for help. She put me on hold for 6 minutes and came back to say that they could get me in, in about 10 days. Keep in mind that I had explained in great detail how he was in such excruciating pain that he didn’t want to eat. The answer was basically too bad, so sad. (She didn’t actually say those words, just the summation of the conversation)I called the dentist my husband and I go to and he wasn’t in the office today. I panic texted Nicole asking if she knew of any emergency dentists in the area because we needed some immediate help. She called me and I filled her in on the situation. On her DAY OFF, she offered to go into the office and help my son. She was able to get him taken care of in her kind and gentle way. She, Laura and her team also were able to get his tooth out with no pain!We are so thankful for her generosity, caring and kindness!!! She is truly one of one. Nicole and team, thank you for going above and beyond to help our son get out of his misery, we appreciate you SO very much!!!

She took the time to understand my dental concerns, promptly referred me to an oral surgeon, and even expedited the release of my previous X-rays to ensure a smooth process. Her proactive support and genuine care truly stood out. Exceptional service and professionalism all around; highly recommend Drake Dental!
